Importance of Continuing Education for Your Dentist

Everyone has heard the term “Continuing Education” pertaining to dentistry many times. What does it really mean? You might not realize how important continuing education is for your dental team. Dr. Hume feels it is extremely important for he and his dental team to be aware of the most up to date dental technology, science and regulations pertaining to dentistry. Recently Dr. Hume and the team attended the Texas Dental Association www.tda.org meeting in San Antonio. Each year major associations such as Texas Dental Association, American Dental Association, Texas Academy of General Dentistry and American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry host conferences and offer a wide variety of classes for dentists, hygienists, dental assistants and business team members to advance their education within the dental field.

This year Dr. Hume personally attended a course on sedation within the dental office. It is important for Dr. Hume to offer services that provide the utmost comfort during your appointments. Sedation within the dental office is a service that requires continuous monitoring and certifications.
